Superintendent's Corner

The Salado ISD School Board met on Monday, April 15.  The following is a summary of that meeting:

 

  • Salado Middle School students Annalee Bryant and Presley Ortega led the pledge to the United States flag and the pledge to the state flag.
  • Salado Middle School track athletes Annalee Bryant, Presley Ortega, Griffin Self, Zoe Dodge, Owen Gunter and Coach Blaine Koester were recognized for breaking school records this season.
  • Salado High School student Laura Ball was recognized for her accomplishments in speech and debate and One Act Play.
  • The Board approved the hiring of teachers and teacher/coaches.
  • The Board reviewed the monthly financial reports.
  • The Board reviewed the monthly enrollment report.  Our current enrollment is 2,330 students, as compared to 2,238 in April 2022 and 2,299 in April 2023.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the March 18 school board meeting.
  • The Board approved budget amendments.
  • The Board approved the 2024-2025 Allotment and TEKS Certification Form.
  • The Board approved the renewal of teacher, teacher/coach, counselor, nurse, and librarian contracts.
  • The Board discussed the design and construction of the new high school and the new stadium.
  • The Board discussed local school board policy BE: Board Meetings.
  • The Board discussed the 2024-2025 budget.
  • The Board approved changes to local board policy FDA: Admisssions: Interdistrict Transfers.
  • School Board President Dr. BA White announced that all seven school board members have completed their annual training requirements.

The Salado ISD School Board’s next regular meeting will be Monday, June 24, at 6:00 p.m. at the Salado ISD Civic Center, located at 601 North Main Street.
